Eva Herzigova

Eva Herzigova is one of the top stars at Metropolitan modeling agency in New York and Paris. Since 1989, when she left her native Czechoslovakia, Eva has become one of the most recognizable faces in modeling. Succeeding Claudia Schiffer, Eva gained her greatest exposure by appearing in GUESS? ads in early 1992. The GUESS? campaign boosted her to international stardom. GUESS?, Studio Line and Wonderbra ads reinforced her image and likened her to the "Marilyn" of the '90s -- strong and uncomplicated. Born on March 10, 1973 in Litvinov of the Czech Republic and standing 5'9," Eva stuns the fashion world with her bright blue eyes, blonde hair and gorgeous figure. Eva grew up in a mountain village in northern Czechoslovakia until one day, on a visit to Prague with her parents, she ran into one of her friends who told her that a French agency was organizing a modeling contest. At 16, she entered and won the contest, and six months later moved to Paris, and as they say, the rest was history! This intellectual supermodel not only speaks four different languages: Czech, Russian, English and French but also enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and playing tennis. Even though she doesn't have time to work out at the gym, as a child she was active in many sports including gymnastics, basketball, track and cross-country skiing. She says she is lucky that she doesn't have a sweet tooth but she loves French, Italian and Japanese cuisines. She makes sure to drink plenty of tea and water and eat lots of fruit for breakfast every morning. As far as her beauty secrets are concerned, every night she massages her face with a cleansing cream then she applies lotion and moisturizer. Eva feels that in order to be a successful model, you have to be open and kind. Models rarely work more than two days at a time with the same people. Young models may feel very isolated being far from friends and family, so she concedes that you should be strong, smart and very professional. Quite serious and firmly grounded, Eva enjoys making pottery, horseback riding and speaking with her family who still live in Litvinov. As for future goals, she hopes to become a serious actress. Her first big break was with Gerard Depardieu, in a film by Jean-Marie Poire titled "Guardian Angels."
